5.5 – Introduction deck: Time-limited programs

PrairiesCan delivers a variety of time-limited programs to support government priorities, including:

Black Entrepreneurship Strategy (until 2025)

  • Intake closed. Support for Black business owners and entrepreneurs.

Canada Coal Transition Infrastructure Fund (until 2026)

  • Intake closed. Support for communities impacted by the transition away from coal.

Regional Quantum Initiative (until 2029)

  • Funding to develop and bring quantum products and solutions to market.

Tourism Growth Program (until 2026)

  • Funding to support communities, small and medium-sized businesses and not-for-profit organizations in developing tourism products and experiences in the Prairie provinces.

Regional Artificial Intelligence Initiative (until 2029)

  • Support delivered by all Regional Development Agencies to help drive AI adoption by SMEs and sectors across the country.

Regional Homebuilding Innovation Initiative (until 2026)

  • Support delivered by all Regional Development Agencies to advance new homebuilding methods and boost productivity.

Prairie Performing Arts Initiative (until 2026)

  • Support for performing arts organizations based in the Prairies.

PrairiesCan is also working to provide support for Budget 2024 commitments related to the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization and the RCMP Heritage Centre in Saskatchewan.
