Advisory Council for the National Collaborating Centres for Public Health Contribution (NCCPH) Program

The National Advisory Council for the National Collaborating Centres for Public Health Contribution (NCCPH) Program reviews the work and activities of six National Collaborating Centres (NCCs) and provides expert scientific and policy advice and guidance to the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) on the NCCPH Contribution Program.

The NCCPH Contribution Program was created in 2004 to support the use of evidence for better decision-making in public health policies, programs and practices. The NCCs specialize in different priority areas of public health and work independently and collaboratively to build on existing knowledge skills and strengths to improve the use of scientific and other knowledge in order to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of Canada’s public health system. The Centres have national mandates to make useful research available and accessible to public health practitioners, foster linkages among researchers, the public health community and others. They also promote the sharing of knowledge across networks to strengthen public health in Canada.

For more detailed information about the Advisory Council for the NCCPH Contribution Program please refer to the National Collaborating Centres for Public Health website or contact the Secretariat.

The Chair facilitates the review process, operations and procedures of the Advisory Council, in consultation with the NCCPH Contribution Program Secretariat.
