What you need to know

If you previously applied to the Vaccine Injury Support Program (VISP) and haven't already received a decision on your application, your application is active and will be reviewed under the Vaccine Impact Assistance Program (VIAP).

If you're receiving financial support, your eligible payments will continue in accordance with the VIAP Policy Framework.

View a transferred Vaccine Injury Support Program claim in the Claimant Portal

Starting July 1, 2026, the Claimant Portal is available as an online tool to support your claim application.

When you create an account in the Claimant Portal, you’ll need to:

If you’re an authorized representative, you’ll also be asked to provide information about the vaccine recipient you represent.

Once we confirm your information, you’ll receive an email with a link to verify your email address. You’ll also be asked to create a password to access your account.

If you registered for a VIAP portal account between April 1 and June 30, 2026, you’ll need to:

  1. create a new account
  2. re-link your VISP claim because the portal has been updated since you first registered

If you started a Vaccine Injury Support Program application

We encourage you to apply to the Vaccine Impact Assistance Program (VIAP) using the VIAP forms. However, if you already started working on a Vaccine Injury Support Program (VISP) application, you don’t need to start over. You can continue to use the VISP Intake Form and Medical Assessment Form to apply to the VIAP.
