Enteric Outbreaks

At this time, there are no current active health investigations to report on linked to outbreaks caused by contaminated food or contact with animals, animal food or animal environments, commonly referred to as “enteric outbreaks”.

The Public Health Agency of Canada is actively working to detect and monitor for outbreaks of enteric illness. When a multi-jurisdictional enteric illness outbreak is identified, the latest information on the investigation and advice on how to protect your health and prevent spread of illness, will be posted to this page in the form of a Public Health Notice.
