Become a CFEP placement site

The success of the Canadian Field Epidemiology Program (CFEP) depends largely on the quality of our placement sites. The sites provide the mentorship and opportunities that are essential to the overall learning experience.

In return, sites gain access to highly qualified public health professionals, eager to share their skills and knowledge.

To qualify as a placement site, an organization must show that they can provide a suitable work setting, a range of opportunities and a supervisor with epidemiological and public health expertise (Masters or PhD in epidemiology, community medicine fellow, CFEP graduate)—who can dedicate a minimum of four hours each week to mentoring.

Placement sites must also be able to help candidates achieve the program’s. nine professional experience guidelines (PEGs).
