Persons employed at the National Security and Intelligence Review Agency Secretariat can now deploy to organizations subject to the Public Service Employment Act (19-10)
As of September 17, 2019, persons who are employed at the National Security and Intelligence Review Agency Secretariat (NSIRAS) may now be deployed to organizations whose appointments are made in accordance with the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA).
This new flexibility is in addition to NSIRAS employees’ existing eligibility for participation in advertised internal appointment processes open to ‘‘persons employed in the public service” and ‘‘employees of the public service”.
The approval was granted after the Public Service Commission (PSC) conducted a review of the staffing program of the NSIRAS. The PSC will conduct periodic reviews of the agency’s staffing program as a condition of this approval and as an assurance of continuing compatibility.
For more information regarding organizations’ statutory links with the PSC and the PSEA, please refer to the PSC’s reference list.
