LHHR: Publishing of the Public Service Commission’s data on Canada’s Open Data Portal (17-07)

As part of the Public Service Commission’s ongoing commitment to Open Government and the related principles of transparency and access, we are planning to release the results of the last three cycles (2011, 2012 and 2013) of the Survey of Staffing (SOS) on Canada’s Open Data portal in December of this year.

As you may be aware, the results of the last three cycles of the SOS have been available to all participating organizations on our extranet site since November 2014.

The results for the 42 organizations that were eligible for the survey have been consolidated into two data sets: Organizational data profiles and summary of results by organization. The data includes survey findings for 37 staffing questions and 4 related to employee awareness of legal rights and responsibilities regarding political activities. A review of this data release by our privacy experts has not indicated any concerns regarding privacy or security.
