External and Internal Hiring

The Public Service Commission (PSC) manages Public service jobs, the popular federal government job board that lists opportunities open to the public and to federal public servants. We have developed an electronic tool called the Public Service Resourcing System (PSRS), which makes posting jobs easier and faster. PSRS is also a valuable screening and volume management tool.

By facilitating the hiring process, PSRS allows you to maintain your focus on your business priorities. It also helps to ensure external hiring is done in accordance with legislative and PSC requirements.

The system carries out up to 80% of the manual tasks associated with external hiring, from preparation of the advertisement to referral of applicants who meet the job requirements. Referral is faster and the selection process is shorter.
