Readout: Disability Advisory Committee Meeting – September 23, 2021

The Disability Advisory Committee (DAC) held its second virtual meeting of the year on September 23, 2021.

During the meeting, representatives from the CRA provided updates on various initiatives related to Committee recommendations including the Disability Tax Credit (DTC) digital application, the redesign of the DTC application form, webinars for medical practitioners and the Navigator role.

In addition, the results and analysis of the Client Experience Survey, Annual Report – 2020-2021, were shared with the Committee who discussed how that information could be referenced and applied within their work.

The Committee went on to review some of the actions taken on their 2021 work plan. The newly formed task groups provided a summary of discussions held to date as well as their plans for future work.

The meeting was adjourned with a thank you from the co-chairs and a commitment for the Committee to meet again this fall.
