Interim Statistics - Universe Data

The Interim Statistics presents data from personal income returns that were processed for the tax year two years prior to year of publication. For example, the 2011 edition of the tables analyze returns from the 2009 tax year, which generally had to be filed by the end of April 2010. These are preliminary statistics and are based on approximately 97% of all returns filed.

The universe data are available sooner than the sample data, so we are able to release the Interim Statistics - Universe Data report before the Final Statistics - Sample Data report. However, since the universe data lack some of the detail provided by the sample data, Interim Statistics - Universe Data contains preliminary versions of Tables 1 to 5A only. Final Statistics - Sample Data contains Tables 1 to 12.
