Preliminary Statistics 2012 Edition (2010 tax year)
The Preliminary Statistics presents data from personal income returns that were processed for the tax year two years prior to year of publication. For example, the 2012 edition of the tables analyze returns from the 2010 tax year, which generally had to be filed by the end of April 2011. These are preliminary statistics and are based on returns filed and processed up to September 13, 2011. This represents approximately 97% of the expected number of returns to be filed for the 2010 tax year.
