Confirm your payment
Returns that are filed electronically are assessed quickly. The Canada Revenue Agency usually completes their assessment before processing the payment. This means that any payments you send the CRA with your return are unlikely to be reflected on your Notice of Assessment. They also would not be displayed in the new Express NOA service.
You can confirm that the CRA received your payment by viewing your account balance through My Account.
If your payment was not applied to an account as expected, call us:
- non-residents inside Canada or the United States: 1-855-284-5946
- non-residents outside Canada or the United States: 1-613-940-8499
You can confirm that the CRA received your payment by viewing your account balance through My Business Account.
If your payment was not applied to an account as expected, do one of the following:
- use My Business Account or Represent a Client to transfer payments within your various accounts
- call 1-800-959-5525
Provide accurate information
Make sure the information you give us is accurate so that the Canada Revenue Agency can apply your payment to the right account.
- social insurance number
- tax year
- business number
- period end date
- fiscal year
