Children's special allowances (CSA)

The children's special allowances (CSA) program provides tax-free monthly payments to federal, provincial and territorial, and Indigenous agencies and other institutions (generally referred to as agencies) that care for children.

The CSA replaces the Canada child benefit when a child is in the care of an agency.
