1. General information

This page lets you see general information about your special elections and returns that have been submitted for:

T217 – Election, or Revocation of an Election, to use the Mark-to-Market method

2. Effective tax year-end

Election

The tax year-end is shown in year-month-day format. The year-end relates to the first tax year that you wish the election to apply.

Revocation of an election

The tax year-end is shown in year-month-day format. The year-end relates to each tax year that begins after the day you are notified in writing that the Minister concurs with your revocation

3. Election/Revocation

Identifies if the type of form that was submitted is an election or a revocation of an election.

4. Status

Describes the status of each special elections and returns

• Received
  Means that we have received the special election and return, but it has not been assessed.
• Assessed - Approved
  Means that the special election and return has been processed by our computer system, and that it has been approved.
• Assessed - Denied
  Means that the special election and return has been processed by our computer system, and that it has been denied.
