The following situations are highlighted: You lived in your own house or in a health establishment, You lived in an apartment building (other than a private seniors’ residence), You lived in a condominium, You lived in a private seniors’ residence, Private seniors’ residence for your spouse who lived in another apartment or room from you
Credit for home-support services – no calculation (advanced payment same as tax credit) is highlighted
- Click Senior home support in the left-side menu.
- Click the + sign next to the type of dwelling in which the individual lives.

- If, for example, you selected the situation You lived in a private seniors’ residence in the previous step, this page will be displayed.
- Start by answering the questions based on the individual’s situation. For the purpose of our example, we will select a non-dependent senior without a spouse.

Column Monthly rent has $1,200.00 entered for the months of January to June and $1,250.00 for the months of July to December
Column Housekeeping service has the boxes ticked for the months of January to December
Column Meal service (# meals) has the number 2 entered for the months of January to December
- Complete the table for the services included in the individual’s rent, according to the information in their lease and the schedule to the lease.
- For example, in the table you see here, the individual’s lease indicates that their rent per month was $1,200 from January to June and $1,250 from July to December.
- The schedule to the lease will specify the services that were included in the rent, such as weekly housekeeping services, and two meals per day.
