2. Who is eligible to be hired
As an employer, you may hire a student intern if they meet the following conditions:
- they are enrolled in a valid secondary or post-secondary educational institution, vocational school in Canada or equivalent institution outside Canada
- they are undertaking the internship to fulfill their educational program requirements and
- they provide you with the required documentation supplied by the educational institution, before the start of the internship. This includes a description of the activities that will fulfill the requirements of their program and contact information for a person responsible for administering the program
