5. Modifying or changing the student intern's activities
As an employer, you may doubt whether changing or modifying a student intern's activities will fit the description of activities provided by the educational institution. If so, consult with the student intern's educational institution/administrator before making the change or modification. This will ensure that any changes or modification you make fulfill the requirements of the student's educational program. It is strongly recommended that you record in writing any change or modification to the internship agreement.
There are certain situations that may change a student intern's status from "student intern" to "employee".
