What do updated passport services, accurate weather forecasts and smooth tax filing have in common? They depend on collaboration between Shared Services Canada (SSC) and other departments and agencies to improve Government of Canada (GC) services.
SSC drives this effort by delivering enterprise IT solutions to GC organizations in Canada, around the world and even in space. This is no easy task! Delivering these solutions requires more than technology. It calls for collaboration with a shared purpose: advancing the collective good for Canada.
Each department and agency we collaborate with uses its unique mandate and priorities to contribute to better outcomes for Canadians. SSC’s mandate is to deliver enterprise IT solutions that provide common benefits across the diverse operations GC organizations support. These benefits include greater cost-efficiency, strengthened security and reliable digital services. At times, this work requires balancing GC organizations’ needs with the enterprise objectives that enhance government-wide services to Canadians.
