Description

Do you often wonder if you’re using prepositions correctly in French? Is à travers accepted now? Is it crier après quelqu’un, or should that be contre or sur? Would you like get better at translating English prepositions such as “for” and “with” that have more than one meaning? Then this half-day workshop is for you!

Specialists in translation or revision (English to French) or writing (in French)

Prerequisite

You must already be involved in translating or revising English-to-French texts.

Language

The workshop is given in French; however, you are welcome to use the official language of your choice.

Learning objectives

At the end of the workshop, you will be able to:

  • avoid using English sentence structure when translating the prepositions “for” and “with” into French
  • choose prepositions wisely as usage evolves
