Plain language is a government priority because it helps make information accessible to everyone.
As a result, more and more clients are requesting plain-language services. If you were asked to translate or edit in plain language, would you know what to do?
In this workshop, you will learn the basics of plain language in English and have an opportunity to apply them in practical exercises. By learning more about plain language, you will be able to work more effectively and deliver better services to your clients.

- Specialists in translation or revision (French to English).
- Prerequisite
- You must already be involved in translating or revising French-to-English texts.
- Language
- The workshop is given in English; however, you are welcome to use the official language of your choice.

At the end of the workshop, you will understand:
- what plain language is
- why plain language is important
- how to apply the principles of plain language as a translator
