Rates of Pay Excluded Employees of the Law Occupational Group

I am pleased to announce the revised rates of pay as approved by the Treasury Board of Canada, for the excluded members of the Law (LA) occupational group.

Rates of Pay

The rates of pay applicable to the excluded employees of the LA group can be found online at the following website: Law Group (LA).

Excluded Lawyers at the LA-1, LA-2A and LA-2B levels are eligible for performance pay on , under the Performance Pay Administration Policy for Certain Non-Management Category Senior Excluded Levels. Excluded Lawyers at the LA-3A, 3B and 3C levels continue to follow the same performance pay plan as they have in the past; the Directive for the Performance Management Program for the Executive Group, effective .

Please refer to the pay notes for the rates of pay applicable to the excluded employees of the LA group as they differ from the pay notes applicable to the represented employees of the LA group. As the excluded Lawyers of the LA-1, LA-2A and LA-2B levels are eligible for performance pay on they will not be eligible for the increment as indicated in pay note 12 of the rates of pay for the represented employees in the LA group.

Severance Termination

Severance pay eligibility for voluntary separation (retirement and resignation) is discontinued as of the date indicated in the relevant collective agreement for the Law group.

The estimate of years of continuous employment is to be provided no later than three (3) months from , (the date of the approved modifications) that is, no later than , inclusively.

Employees are to select their option within six (6) months from , which is by , inclusively.
