Internal reallocation of resources from Grants for the Assault Style Firearms Compensation Program – Grants for Individuals to Grants for the Assault Style Firearms Compensation Program The Treasury Board approved an allocation of up to $11,200,000 to the Department of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness to make timely payments under the grant entitled Assault Style Firearms Compensation Program. These funds will extend the program’s capacity to provide compensation to businesses to reduce losses associated with the surrender of assault style weapons and parts. |
