Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat notice to all civilian and regular members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police regarding pay equity

The Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS), on behalf of the Treasury Board, is filing a request with the Office of the Pay Equity Commissioner to extend the deadline to post a final pay equity plan for members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). This means TBS is asking for additional time to complete the plan.
Previously, on , the Pay Equity Commissioner granted TBS an extension until , to post the RCMP pay equity plan. TBS is now seeking a further extension of time to post the plan.
If an extension is granted, lump sum payments and interest amounts must be calculated and paid to employees in a predominantly female job class for which an increase in compensation is owed. All amounts become payable in full the day after the posting of the final pay equity plan by the new deadline.
Workplace parties will be given the opportunity to submit representations for this request. Additional information is below.
Unionized members
If you are a unionized member of the RCMP, a representative of your bargaining agent will be provided with the request materials and will be given the opportunity to submit a representation on your behalf. Contact your bargaining agent for additional information.
Non-unionized members
Your representative(s) on the pay equity committee will be provided with the request materials and will be given the opportunity to submit a representation on behalf of non-unionized members.

Bargaining agents and non-unionized member representatives
You will receive an invitation to join the case in the Pay Equity Portal. You should accept this invitation within seven days of receipt if you want to participate in the case. If you do not want to participate, you can decline the invitation in the portal or inform the Office of the Pay Equity Commissioner by email at payequity-equitesalariale@chrc-ccdp.gc.ca.
Once affected workplace parties have joined the case in the portal, and no later than seven days after invitations are sent, parties will be notified of their opportunity to provide representations. You will have five business days to submit representations.
