4. Return to work
Follow these steps for a smooth transition for returning to work after your maternity or parental leave:
- At least 6 weeks before return to work date, confirm with your OR your return-to-work date and if you have submitted all required documentation to avoid any pay delays.
- Before returning to work, you must refamiliarize yourself with the requirement of the undertaking to serve per CBI 205.461(6) (Undertaking to Serve). If you fail to complete the undertaking to serve, you are subject to repayment of your allowances received for the days not served.
- If your personal information (or any other information) has changed while on leave, update the personal information with your OR and all Annual Personnel Readiness Verification (APRV) forms, clear back into your mess and update any other information that may have changed with your OR. Some of APRV forms may include but not limited to:
- Next of Kin (NOK) Identification (DND 2587);
- Will (CF 30-1-E); or
- Supplementary Death Benefit Beneficiary (CF-FC 2223).
