Apply to become a Workplace Harassment and Violence Prevention Investigator: Step 1. Overview

From: Employment and Social Development Canada

Step 1. Overview

Bill C-65 is the legislation that was introduced to strengthen the Canada Labour Code and better protect workers from harassment and violence in federally regulated workplaces. It will come into force in 2020 once the necessary regulations are in place. If a harassment or violence complaint cannot be resolved through the internal complaint resolution process, a qualified workplace harassment and violence prevention investigator will investigate the case.

As part of the legislation, the Government is creating a Canada-wide roster of qualified workplace harassment and violence prevention investigators. The roster, which is being developed with employer and union representatives, will be made available to employers in the federally regulated sector.

We are accepting applications to be part of the roster until March 13, 2020. If you have experience with workplace investigations, you are invited to apply.
