Step 4. What to expect after applying

If you are qualified, the Labour Program may send you an electronic invitation to write an exam and answer an online multiple choice questionnaire. The written exam will assess your knowledge related to:

  • harassment and violence in the workplace
  • the Canada Labour Code, and
  • the Canadian Human Rights Act

You may also be invited to participate in an in-person, telephone or Skype interview.

In your application, you must attest that your client or former client has given consent to be a referee. The Labour Program will send a questionnaire to your referee to assess your abilities, skills and behaviours. Once your referee has completed and returned the questionnaire, we will conduct a telephone or Skype interview with them.
