This section explains the importance of keeping all your documents up-to-date and when we may contact you to ensure you are compliant with your CSJ agreement. It also explains what happens if your organization does not comply with the CSJ agreement.

Review these lists to help you meet your responsibilities and keep your project on track. They will also ensure you have the right information if we need to contact you to follow up on the details of your project.
Keep your CSJ participants informed
All CSJ participants must:
- sign the Employer Employee Declaration / Employee Consent Form
- receive the Participant Information Sheet
- read and understand the information on the Young Workers website
Understand your responsibilities and manage your project effectively
All CSJ-funded employers must:
- read and understand the Articles of Agreement
- ensure participants receive appropriate supervision and mentoring throughout their employment
- provide a safe and inclusive work environment that meets all health and safety requirements
- ensure participant job duties match the tasks and responsibilities approved in your CSJ application
- contact us if there are significant changes to your project
- store all Employer and Employee Declaration / Employee Consent Forms securely
- keep all CSJ-related financial records organized and up to date (such as payroll records, pay stubs, timesheets, etc.)
- complete all required reporting at the end of the project
Monitoring process
We conduct a range of monitoring activities to ensure employers are compliant with the Articles of Agreement and funding under the CSJ program is used responsibly. All aspects of your project are reviewed, starting with the details included in your application to the closing of your project and everything in between. We may contact you as part of this monitoring process to follow up on your project and conduct interviews with your CSJ participants and your organization representatives.
Complying with your CSJ agreement
If we determine that you are not compliant with the Articles of Agreement, you will receive a written Notice of Default.
Note: Some events of default may result in the immediate termination of your agreement.

What happens if you receive a Notice of Default
After receiving written notice, you will have the opportunity to provide us with an explanation and/or a plan to resolve the event(s) of default.
We will review your response and make a final determination related to the default of your agreement and will notify you of the decision in writing.

You must respond to written notices in a timely manner. If you do not respond within the time you are given, your agreement may be terminated.
What happens if you receive a Notice of Termination
You will receive a written notice explaining the specific reason for the termination of your agreement.
If your agreement is terminated:
- you will not receive funding
- you must repay any funds you have already received
- your future funding applications may be affected for up to 2 years
All termination decisions are final.
