Help finding your access code

Access codes are used by Employment Insurance, Canada Pension Plan, and Old Age Security to help validate your identity for My Service Canada Account and to keep your account secure.

Employment Insurance (EI)

If you applied for or are receiving EI, your EI Access Code was sent you when applied. It can be found on your first benefit statement.

If you cannot find your EI Access Code, call 1-800-206-7218 between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm local time or go to your Service Canada Office (you will be required to verify your identity).

Canada Pension Plan (CPP) and Old Age Security (OAS)

If you applied for or are receiving CPP or OAS, your Personal Access Code (PAC) may have been sent to you in a letter.

If you cannot find your Personal Access Code, you can request a new code.

Previously requested a personal access code

If you previously requested a personal access code through the Request a Personal Access Code online form, it was sent to you in a PAC letter.

If you cannot find your Personal Access Code, you can request a new code.
