Submitting your utilization report
When saving the utilization report (UR), use a file name that indicates the date of the Sunday the week of the report starts with. This will help if we contact you with follow-up questions.
Submit your completed UR through Data Gateway on or after the Friday of the week you're reporting on.
Modifying a submitted utilization report
If you need to amend a UR you already submitted, determine whether the amendment applies to some of the employees or all employees.
Amending a UR for some employees
To amend a UR for some employees, you must complete and submit a UR amendment document. You'll find this document in the email sent to you when your Data Gateway account was set up. If you don't have this email, contact the Employer Contact Centre to request the document.
When amending a UR for some employees:
- include on the UR amendment document only the employees affected by the changes
- complete all the fields as on the usual UR template, making the necessary changes
- save it using a file name that indicates the date of the Sunday of the week you're reporting on
- submit it through the Data Gateway
You must submit more than 1 UR amendment document when:
- information needs to be amended in several weeks
- subsequent changes affect the same week
- the document doesn’t have enough lines for all employees affected by the changes
Amending a UR for all employees
When amending a UR for all employees:
- find the previously submitted UR
- make the necessary changes
- in the Comments field, enter "Declaration amended” and the date of the amendment for all employees
- to repeat the information for all employees, enter the text in the first employee’s row and then copy it. Next, select the rows for the remaining employees and paste the text to fill all selected rows
- submit your amended UR through the Data Gateway
