Transition of natural health product site licensing activities
NHP Site Licensing Bulletin No. 5, September 11, 2024, from the Health Product Compliance Directorate

Changes at a glance
As of April 1, 2024, site licensing of natural health products (NHPs) has moved from the Health Products and Food Branch to the Regulatory Operations and Enforcement Branch (ROEB).
ROEB is responsible for establishment licensing activities for drugs and medical devices. Relocating site licensing activities for NHPs from the Natural and Non-Prescription Health Products Directorate (NNHPD) to the Health Product Compliance Directorate within ROEB is an opportunity to consolidate similar work under 1 branch.
The process to apply, renew or amend an NHP site licence is the same:
- apply electronically using the NNHPD secure email service, Connectâ„¢ (previously ePost Connectâ„¢)
We have created a new generic email for external inquiries. As of May 8, 2024, NNHPD has been re-directing all site licence inquiries to this new email: hpcd.nhp.sl-dcps.psn.le@hc-sc.gc.ca.
