If you need to apply for coverage
If you qualify for the Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP), you don’t need to apply for coverage unless:
- you think you’re eligible but don’t have any of the IFHP eligibility documents
- your refugee claim was rejected and your Refugee Protection Identity Document (RPID) or Refugee Protection Claimant Document (RPCD) has expired or has been lost, stolen or destroyed
- you need to restart or extend your coverage
- you’re requesting coverage through the Minister’s discretion
