The approved Guidelines, developed in collaboration with the Lake Louise Ski Area, include major gains in conservation, visitor experience and education for one of Canada's most iconic winter destinations.

MP John Barlow, on behalf of Steven Blaney, Canada's Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, today announced the Harper Government will invest an estimated $113.65 million to improve infrastructure in the Prairie Region including the Chief Mountain port of entry in Alberta. This investment is part of the $440 million in infrastructure funding announced in November 2014 by Prime Minister Harper to replace aging ports of entry across Canada.

Today, Paul Calandra, Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister and for Intergovernmental Affairs and Member of Parliament for Oak Ridges-Markham, and Corneliu Chisu, Member of Parliament for Pickering-Scarborough East, on behalf of the Honourable Leona Aglukkaq, Minister of the Environment and Minister responsible for Parks Canada, announced a significant new investment in Rouge National Urban Park. The Government of Canada is contributing an additional $26.8 million over six years and $3 million annually thereafter to operate and manage the 21 square kilometres of new lands recently announced by the Prime Minister on July 11, 2015.

Today, the Honourable Leona Aglukkaq, Minister of the Environment, Minister of the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency and Minister for the Arctic Council announced three-year partnership arrangements with two Aboriginal organizations to deliver CanNor's Entrepreneurship and Business Development fund to individual and community-owned Aboriginal businesses in Nunavut and Yukon.
