Bell Let’s Talk 2024 — Let's create real change
Ombudsman Message | 24 January 2024
This year for Bell Let’s Talk Day, we must remember the importance of mental health in the DND, the CAF, and in our everyday lives.
This year’s theme is “Let's create real change.” We made it through a global pandemic, but the impacts on our mental health still linger.
In my final Bell Let’s Talk message, I urge everyone to continue the conversations around mental health. Remember if you need help, never hesitate to reach out to a friend, a colleague, a family member, or use one of the many resources available to you.
Don’t suffer in silence or alone. Recognize the signs of mental illness in others and yourself and seek help if you need it. Seeking care early is the best chance for recovery.
Only by keeping these conversations going will we be able to eliminate the stigma and create real change.
Take care of yourselves. Take care of those around you. Take care of your mental health.
