Happy Holidays to members of the Defence Community

Message from the Ombudsman | 19 December 2025

As we approach the end of 2025, I want to take a moment to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all members of the Defence community—Canadian Armed Forces members, Canadian Coast Guard personnel, civilian employees, Staff of the Non-Public Funds and the families—for your dedication and service. 

It is also an opportunity to acknowledge the resilience and commitment that each of you demonstrates throughout the year in support of our shared mission.

This year marked a special milestone as we welcomed the Canadian Coast Guard as the newest member of our Defence community. 

The holiday season is a time to reflect, recharge, and enjoy the moments with our loved ones – whether near or far.

In the coming year, I look forward to continuing our conversations, listening to your experiences, and working together to create lasting improvements that strengthen our community.
