Administrative Burden Baseline: Update 2017
The Administrative Burden Baseline (ABB) provides Canadians with a clear metric on the total number of requirements in federal regulations and associated forms that impose administrative burden on business. This baseline contributes to the openness and transparency of the federal regulatory system.
Between July 1, 2016 and June 30, 2017, the Public Health Agency of Canada's (PHAC) total count of administrative burden changed as a result of the coming into force of the Potable Water on Board Trains, Vessels, Aircraft and Buses Regulations and the repeal of the Potable Water Regulations for Common Carriers. The ABB count remains unchanged for the Human Pathogens and Toxins Regulations for the above mentioned period.
All federal regulations administered by the PHAC that have requirements that impose administrative burden on business are identified below. The total ABB count for PHAC is 189.
