Our team is tasked with paying people.
We're also responsible for modernizing HR and Pay systems.

So the opportunity is yes, fix pay, but also maybe question how we do things. We're trying to deliver something different and do things differently. In order to do that, you have to address culture.

(Translation) I’d say the ideal organization is one that also respects its employees.

(Translation) In terms of innovation, I believe we have an ongoing responsibility to grow.

It's great to be talking about how we see the future, and how we see this organization coming together.

(Translation) It’s important to restart the conversation about values by having activities like this. Well, it gives a platform for these conversations.

But it also shows that at our core, we all have the same kind of values and backgrounds, despite our differences.

You're affecting people's livelihoods in some cases, so people.

One thing we brought a lot was like putting people first, I think that’s really really important.

Canadians want to see continuous improvement from their civil service.

So the Transparency by Design effort was a basically an effort to start lowering our firewalls and slowly try to regain trust of the civil service and the public.

Really excited about the next phase that's to come. We're building the Government of Canada solution now and we're not going to wait ‘till the build is over to go engage with civil servants. All of these lessons learned from the past, all of these things are being considered.

So we've had HR practitioners come in and test and play with the system. We have virtual lobby sessions where people get to go see what this thing will actually look like. And then we are going to be doing physical lobby drop-ins as well.

What we do in HR and Pay is so important. It is the foundation of everything we do. It's about treating employees with respect.

We’re all playing a role in defining how we are going to be moving forward.

Not only are we inspiring our organization now, but for those that are coming.
