You can review and update the information in Represent a Client (RAC).
Review and update your information
Change your registration information
You can change your registration information by following these steps:
- Sign in to Represent a Client
- Select Review and update
- In the RepID information tab, select View and update my registration information and follow the instructions
Cancel your RepID
If you no longer wish to use Represent a Client, cancel your RepID by following these steps:
- Sign in to Represent a Client
- Select Review and update
- In the RepID information tab, select Cancel my RepID and follow the instructions
Review and update client information
View your client list and get detailed authorization information
View or download your client list, request a download frequency of your client list, and obtain detailed authorization information by following these steps:
- Sign in to Represent a Client
- Select Review and update
- In the Manage clients tab, select one of the following:

For individual clients: Option 1
Select Taxpayers who have authorized this RepID/business

For business clients: Option 2
Select Businesses that have authorized this RepID/business

View transactions performed
View a list of the transactions you have performed for you clients by following these steps:
- Sign in to Represent a Client
- Select Review and update
- In the Manage clients tab, select one of the following:

For individual clients: Option 1
Select Transactions performed on individual accounts (SIN)

For business clients: Option 2
Select Transactions performed on business accounts (BN)

Delete authorizations
Representatives can delete the authorizations of their individual and business clients. The service is available in the Manage clients tab of the Review and update menu.
View list of notices issues
The List of notices issued service allows you to view notices of assessment (NOA) and notices of reassessment (NOR) issued to your clients as a result of a tax return being filed or amended. The list will show notices issued in the last 365 days.
List of notices issued can be accessed directly through Represent a Client.
Manage online mail for registered electronic filers (EFILE for T1 returns)
Registered electronic filers can receive pre-assessment and processing review letters, relating to T1 returns, online.
Authorization to manage online mail is granted when:

The taxpayer completes Part D of Form T183, Information Return for Electronic Filing of an Individual's Income Tax and Benefit Return

The tax preparer files the return electronically indicating the tax preparer contact code
Business owners and senior administrators can register by following these steps:
- Sign in to Represent a Client
- Select Review and update
- Select RepID Information, Business Information, or GroupID information as applicable
- Select Manage online mail
To view the letters, select Mail from the left hand side bar.
Only letters received electronically are available for viewing online in Represent a Client.
Review and update your business information
Update business name and contact information
Before you can change your business name in Represent a Client, you must update your business name in our BN database. Sign in to My Business Account, select Profile, and then choose Manage operating names to add, remove, or change an operating name.

After you have updated your business name in our BN database, update your business name within Represent a Client:
- Sign in to Represent a Client
- Select Review and update
- Select the business name you wish to update
- Select the Business information tab
- Select View and update the registration information to bring up the first registration screen
- Select your updated name from a list provided by our BN database
- Update your business contact information
Review the list of representatives and/or administrators associated to your business
If you are the owner or an administrator of the business, you can review the list of employees associated to your business as representatives and/or administrators by following these steps:
- Sign in to Represent a Client
- Select Review and update
- Select Manage employees' access
- Select Employee lists
Cancel or suspend your business from Represent a Client
Cancel or suspend your business registration from Represent a Client by following these steps:
- Sign in to Represent a Client
- Select Review and update
- Select your business number
- Select Business information
- Select Suspend your business from this service or Cancel your business from this service, whichever is appropriate, and follow the instructions
