Employment and other benefits section is highlighted and the following are ticked:
Employment income and employment insurance benefits (T4, T4E/RL-6)
Social assistance, worker’s compensation (T5007/RL-5)
Employment expenses (including work-space-in-the-home expenses, tradesperson’s and apprentice mechanic tools expenses, etc)
- Click Interview setup in the left-side menu.
- In the Employment and other benefits section, tick the box next to Employment income and employment insurance benefits (T4, T4E/RL-6) and click Next.

- Scroll down to enter the amount into box 71 of the T4 slip and box R of the RL-1 slip.

- Box 71 of the T4 slip and box R of the RL-1 slip are in the drop-down menu under OTHER INFORMATION.
- Click Next.
- In the Employment and other benefits section, tick the box next to Employment income and employment insurance benefits (T4, T4E/RL-6) and click Next.

Repayment of an overpayment (RL-6 box D) is highlighted
Repayment of an overpayment if different from T4E Box 30 (RL-6 box D) is highlighted
- Enter the amounts from the individual's T4E, T4E(Q) and RL-6 slips into the corresponding fields.
- Make sure to select a value of 0% (unless the box indicates 30%) for the Repayment rate field because it is a mandatory field.
- If the amounts from the RL-6 box D and the T4E box 30 are different, enter the amount from RL-6 box D into the Repayment of an overpayment if different from T4E Box 30 (RL-6 box D) field.
- Click Next.
Repayments of benefits related to COVID-19 made in 2021 or 2022
- Ensure you are using the software version that corresponds to the year in question.
- Enter the total of the following amounts into the Repayment of an overpayment field:
- EI repayments
- CERB repayment amount the individual wishes to claim for the year in question
- Enter the CERB repayment amount for the year in question into the Repayment of the CERB (this amount is included in box 30) field
- This amount is included in a letter received by the individual from Service Canada.
- Click Next.

- Click Interview setup in the left-side menu.
- In the Pension and other income section, tick the box next to Pension income, other income and split pension income, COVID-19 benefits (T4A, T4FHSA, T4A(OAS), T4A(P), T4A-RCA, T4RSP, T4RIF, T1032) and click Next.

$0.00 is in the field to the right, the maple leaf icon is highlighted and the QC field is blank
- In the drop-down menu under Other information (COVID-19 benefits), select [201] Repayments of a federal COVID-19 financial assistance (Box O code O-9).
- Enter 0 into the first field and click the maple leaf icon.
- Enter the COVID-19 benefit repayment amount from box O of the RL-1 slip into the field next to QC.
- Click Next.
- In the Employment and other benefits section, tick the box next to Social assistance, workers' compensation (T5007/RL-5) and click Next.

Select the person whose name appears on the slip is highlighted
Next button is highlighted
- Enter the amounts from the individual's T5007 and RL-5 slips into the corresponding fields.
- If the individual has a letter from the band council, enter the social assistance amount into the RL-5 box A – Social assistance benefits: box 11 (A) field.
- If the amount indicated in box A of the RL-5 slip is different from the one indicated in box 11 of the T5007 slip, click the maple leaf icon and enter the amount from box A of the RL-5 slip.
- Please note this feature for the federal tax return:
- If you select Yes for the question Did you live with your spouse or common-law partner when you received the social assistance benefits?, a new field will appear: Select the person whose name appears on the slip.
- Click Next.
- In the Employment and other benefits section, tick the box next to Employment expenses (including T777S) and click Next.
