Victim Registration
Victim Registration
Victims of federal offenders have a right to certain information about the offender who harmed them while that person is under federal jurisdiction.
New Victims Portal
The new Victims Portal launched on June 1, 2016. Now victims can access specific information and services online, as defined in law, from the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) and the Parole Board of Canada (PBC).
Register
To receive this information, register with the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) or the Parole Board of Canada (PBC) as a victim of crime either by completing the Request for Victim Registration or by registering through the Victims Portal.
Victims do not automatically receive information unless they are registered. This is to respect the privacy of victims who do not wish to be contacted or receive information about the offender.
You only need to register once with either organization.
Update your contact information
To ensure that you continuously receive timely notifications from CSC or PBC, it is important that you inform these agencies if your contact information changes. To update your contact information, either contact the nearest CSC office or contact the nearest PBC office to you, or update it online via the Victims Portal.
