National School Food Program Agreements
The Government of Canada is committed to ensuring that every generation of children and youth have access to the resources and support they need to reach their full potential. This starts with ensuring that children get the healthy food they need to learn and succeed.
That is why, through the National School Food Program, the federal government is investing $1 billion over 5 years to work with provinces and territories and Indigenous partners to enhance and expand school food programs across Canada, guided by the National School Food Policy.
The National School Food Program is providing real support to children and families. The Government of Canada has signed bilateral agreements on the National School Food Program with all provinces and territories to enhance and expand their school food programs.
