Note: You must submit a complete application package by 3:00 pm EDT on July 28, 2026. If you are in the process of completing the application after this time, it will not be accepted.

If you are unable to apply through the GCOS, please contact EDSC.AC.NAAW-SNA.CA.ESDC@hrsdc-rhdcc.gc.ca. In your email, be sure to clearly explain why you are unable to apply through GCOS. You must do so by July 26, 2026, 3:00 pm EDT.

What is the Grants and Contributions Online Service (GCOS)?

GCOS is an online platform that enables users to create accounts for their organization and submit funding applications to Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC). Once you create your account it allows you to:

Sign in or register for GCOS GCOS account registration process

Confirmation of receipt

When you submit your application through GCOS, you will receive an acknowledgment message immediately by email and a tracking number.

Submit 1 application only

Submit only 1 copy of your application to ESDC. Only the first application received will be reviewed. Submitting multiple copies of the same application or submitting the same application by using various methods will cause longer processing times for your application.

When you will get a funding decision

The Department expects to make funding decisions in Winter 2026.

Projects may not begin before a funding agreement has been signed by your organization and the Department. Any expenses for activities that take place before your organization signs the Funding Agreement may not be reimbursed.

Not all submitted applications will be selected for funding, as funding is limited. Please note that decisions are final and there is no appeal process.
