Stay supported and connected
This section covers what to expect around workplace accessibility and accommodations. It also explains how to reach us if you need help at any point during your summer job.
Accessibility
You have the right to participate and feel included at work. Part of participation and inclusion is removing barriers in the workplace to allow you to do your job effectively and contribute fully.
Accommodations can happen at different stages:
- during the hiring process: for example, accessible application formats or extra time for assessments
- on the job: for example, adaptive equipment (like a screen reader) or adjusting your schedule if full-time hours aren't possible
If you need an accommodation, you can let your employer know how they can support you during the hiring process or when you start your job.
If you have a disability and want extra support, check out the Disability benefits page to explore funding, benefits, and tax credits.
