Technical Advisory Committee on Science and Knowledge

From: Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency

The Technical Advisory Committee on Science and Knowledge will provide the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency with expert advice on topics related to impact assessments, as well as regional and strategic assessments. These topics include scientific, environmental, health, social, economic issues, and Indigenous knowledge.

The proposed new impact assessment system will benefit from this expert advice, helping to ensure the delivery of high-quality assessments.

Nominations for the Committee were sought from August 21 to October 7, 2018. All applications received are currently being reviewed. Individuals selected to become members and co-chairs of the Committee will be contacted by the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency.

The Canadian Environmental Assessment is also creating an Indigenous Advisory Committee to provide expert advice and participate in the development of policy and guidance for the proposed new impact assessment system.
