Financial Literacy Month

Talk money. Join us for Financial Literacy Month 2025

November is Financial Literacy Month

2025 marks the 15th anniversary of Financial Literacy Month (FLM) in Canada. Since 2010, FLM has helped Canadians strengthen their financial knowledge and skills with the goal of improving their financial well-being. Led by the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC), the campaign supports the National Financial Literacy Strategy 2021–2026. Each November, FCAC works with partners across sectors to promote financial literacy through education and outreach.

About this year’s campaign

“Talk Money”

Building on last year’s FLM theme, the 2025 “Talk Money” campaign continues the momentum by encouraging Canadians to break the silence around personal finances. By normalizing conversations about money, whether it’s budgeting, debt, or financial stress, we can help reduce stigma, empower individuals to take small, confident steps, and foster better financial outcomes. Talking openly helps build financial resilience, and this November, we’re creating more opportunities for those important conversations to happen - at home, online, and across communities.

Get involved

If you’re a stakeholder, get information and resources to help promote this year’s campaign and tailor your activities to your sector and audiences. Ready-to-use digital content and promotional materials are available in the stakeholder toolkit. Additional campaign information and resources will be released as we approach November.

During Financial Literacy Month, talk about money on your social media accounts to help raise awareness of the importance of financial literacy. Use hashtags #TalkMoney and #FLM2025 to join the national conversation and share your own campaign activities.

Let’s break the stigma, build financial confidence, and make this 15th anniversary of Financial Literacy Month the most impactful yet.
