    Anyone can use the PBC Service Portal to apply electronically for a record suspension (pardon) or a cannabis record suspension.

  • What are the benefits of using the PBC Service Portal over submitting a paper application?

    The PBC Service Portal has the following benefits for applicants:

    • When an applicant submits their application using the PBC Service Portal, it will automatically be received by the PBC. This avoids delays, fees and other issues that can occur when using regular mail or a courier.
    • An applicant can submit all supporting documents electronically (unless specified).
    • An applicant can track the stage of their application.
    • The processing fee can be paid online.
  • Do I require a GCKey?

    Yes. A GCKey is required to log in to the PBC Service Portal.

  • Are processing times different for record suspension (pardon) and cannabis record suspension applications submitted by mail (paper), compared to applications submitted electronically using the PBC Service Portal?

    No. The processing times are the same for paper (mail) and electronic applications.

  • Can I start an application and complete it later?

    Yes. However, before starting your application using the PBC Service Portal, we recommend that you first review the step-by-step instructions, obtain all required documents and create a profile in the Portal if you don’t already have one.

  • Can I upload documents within the PBC Service Portal, or will documents have to be mailed?

    Yes, you will be able to upload documents through the PBC Service Portal. You will not need to send documents by mail, unless specifically requested.

  • Is it safe to submit my application through the PBC Service Portal?

    Yes, the PBC Service Portal is a safe and secure way to apply for its programs and services.
