Early Retirement Incentive Program

Applications for the voluntary Early Retirement Incentive program can now be submitted. Eligible employees who have access to the My GC Pension portal will receive an email notifying them that a letter is available. Eligible employees who do not have access to My GC Pension portal will receive the letter in the mail. If you think you are eligible but didn’t receive a letter, contact the Pension Centre.

Privacy notice statement

The personal information is collected on a voluntary basis pursuant to the Public Service Superannuation Act. The personal information will be used by Receiver General & Pension of Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) to respond to your questions. Such information may also be used for statistical, evaluation and reporting purposes. The personal information is described in the Personal Information Bank PSU 914 – Public Communications. Your personal information is protected, used, and disclosed in accordance with the Privacy Act. The personal information provided in this program administration will be retained for a period of 2 years minimum after the last administrative action, and then destroyed. PSHCP Contribution rates

New contribution rates will take effect on April 1, 2026 for retired members receiving supplementary coverage. These rates will be applied to the March 2026 pension payments for April 2026 coverage, as contributions are payable one month in advance.

Pension deposit

Your Pension will be deposited in your bank account on the third last banking day of the month. To find out when your deposit will be made, visit the Public service pension calendar.

When to contact Pension Centre for Early Retirement Incentive or Workforce adjustment

This guide helps employees understand who to contact for questions related to Early Retirement Incentive (ERI) or Workforce adjustment (WFA).

Contact the Government of Canada Pension Centre for the following specific questions related to ERI:

  • if you cannot access My GC Pension
  • to get regular non-ERI pension estimates
  • to confirm pension eligibility
  • to buy back service

Note: Employees will automatically receive a notification once the Deputy Head review has been completed.
