Who can register for a CRA account
You can register for a CRA account if you have:
- A social insurance number (SIN)
- A filed and assessed income tax and benefit return from the current or previous tax year
What you can access
After you sign in to your CRA account, you can use any of the following:
- My Account
- View and manage your personal and tax information, apply for benefits, and make payments to the CRA.

- View and update your business tax information, and file and submit returns for many programs.

- Manage business, trust, or individual information on behalf of someone else with their authorization, including a friend, family member or client.

- View and manage the non-resident tax account you use for Part XIII withholdings on income paid to non-residents.

Registration and sign-in options
There are 3 options for registering for and signing in to your CRA account:
- CRA user ID and password
- This option lets you register and sign in with a CRA user ID and password.

- This option lets you register and sign in with a BC Services Card or an Alberta.ca Account.
