CRA account help – About My Business Account
My Business Account is an online portal in your CRA account that lets you interact with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) on various business accounts. Program accounts include GST/HST, payroll, corporation income taxes, excise taxes, excise duties, and more.

Who can use My Business Account
Business owners (including partners, directors, and officers) can use My Business Account. Authorized representatives (including accountants and employees) can access these services through Represent a Client in their CRA account.
How to access My Business Account
To access My Business Account for the first time:
- Sign in to your CRA account
- From the Welcome page, select Add account
- Select Business account
- Depending on whether you have a business number (BN) or not, do one of the following:

You already have a BN
Select Add Business number
Do not use a 10-digit Québec Enterprise Number (NEQ) or an Ontario Business Identification Number (BIN)

You do not have a BN
Select Business Registration Online
After you receive your BN, sign in to your CRA account and follow these steps again.
If you do not know what your BN is or are not sure if you already have one, check options to find an existing BN.

- Enter your 9-digit business number and select Add
- After getting your confirmation, return to the Welcome page and select your Business account to access My Business Account
Services in My Business Account
After signing in to your CRA account, select your business from the Welcome page to access all the services available in My Business Account.

Online mail for business
Most correspondence is only available online in My Business Account by default, except when a business has changed its delivery method to receive paper mail. Make sure you register for email notifications from the CRA to find out when you have new mail to view in My Business Account.

What's new
Backup multi-factor authentication option
The CRA has introduced a backup multi-factor authentication (MFA) option requirement for your CRA account. If you don’t already have one, you will be asked to add a backup MFA option the next time you sign in. Backup options include either a passcode grid or a third-party authenticator app. You will be able to skip this step.
New program account
A new Pillar Two “PT” program account has been added for filing returns related to the Global Minimum Tax.
