Canada Student Grant for Part-Time Students with Dependants
This grant is available to low and middle-income students with dependants who are going to school part-time. If you are going to school full-time, see grant for full-time students with dependants.
Note: This grant is not available to students from the Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Quebec. They have their own student aid programs.
Eligibility
You could be eligible for this grant if you apply and:
- have a financial need not met by the grant for part-time students
- are a part-time student in a qualified program at a designated school
- have a dependant under 12 years old at the beginning of the study period, or over 12 old with a permanent disability; and
- your total family income is less than the income threshold below

How much you could receive
For the 2020 to 2021 school year, you could receive up to $3,840. You can get this grant for each year of your studies as long as you still qualify. For example, if you have an assessed need of $1,920, you will receive a $1,920 grant. The school year runs from August 1 of the current year to July 31 of the next year.
