Canada Student Grant for Part-Time Students with Dependants
This grant is available to part-time students with dependants who are in financial need. You are automatically assessed when you apply for student aid with your province or territory.

Note: This grant is not available to students from the Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Quebec. They have their own student aid programs.
Eligibility
You could be eligible for this grant if you apply and:
- your financial need is not met by the grant for part-time students
- are a part-time student in a qualified program at a designated school
- have a dependant under 12 years old at the beginning of the study period, or over 12 old with a permanent disability; and
- your total family income is less than the income threshold below

How much you could receive
Until the end of the 2024 to 2025 school year, you could receive up to $2,688 per year. The amount of the grant will not be more than your assessed need. For example, if you have an assessed need of $1,920, you will receive a $1,920 grant. The school year runs from August 1 to July 31.
