LifeSpeak’s COVID-19 Expert Blog Series: Helping you navigate the COVID-19 pandemic

LifeSpeak is a web-based service that offers anonymous access to hundreds of short videos from leading experts on everyday issues affecting all of us from time to time. The service is available to both Civilian and Military Defence Team Members.

To log-in:

  • Visit lifespeak.com and select “Group Account”
  • Click either Canadian Armed Forces or Department of National Defence (Civilian)
  • Input client password: canada

Once you’re logged-in, we suggest LifeSpeak’s COVID-19 Expert Blog series, which is full of resources to help manage your day-to-day life during these uncertain times.

The first featured Blog is “How parents can stay connected as a couple during COVID19” by Registered Psychotherapist and Relationship Expert, Allison Villa.

Parents have had to take on many new roles since the start of the pandemic – teacher, chef, full-time entertainer, remote worker, etc. Over the past few months, couples have had to work especially hard to stay-connected and on the same page.

DND employees provide confidential active-listening skills and resources to employees in need and can be contacted during regular working hours.

  • Contact HR Connect at 1-833-747-6363 to be connected with a readily available agent from 0800-1600 hrs Mon-Fri, or contact the EAP Corporate Office. A referral agent will be in contact with you within 24 hours.

Health Canada – Employee Assistance Services (EAS) for Civilian Defence Team members.

Canadian Forces Member Assistance Program (CFMAP) for Military members - Personnel of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), Veterans, and their families can access free, confidential counseling, 24 hours a day, seven days a week at 1-800-268-7708 or TDD 1-800-567-5803 (hearing impaired).
